OVERKILL Solar bms FET Software Locked

Hi all,

Just finished installing solar on my boat. Configured BMS to my needs. I am getting a FET Software Locked message in red under Alarms. The Charge switch is off. I can turn it back on easy enough and the message goes away but that is not the answer. Can anyone give me an idea where to look in the settings?

May have to hit it with a charger to get it working.
Here's my settings from a pack I haven't checked in months.

My batteries are at 100% charge through solar.

I don't understand your settings and this is probably the issue. Ok, definitely the issue. Your settings and what I take them to mean.

Total Bat Cap 100,000 (100 ah battery)

Total cycle Cap 80,000 (You're only cycling down to 80% which makes no sense or your cycling down to 20% of capacity or?? This is probably my issue. Not understanding what this setting does)

Cell full 3 mv ( Doesn't make sense to me either. Later you have full capacity at 3550)

Cell min 2 mv (another setting I'm not understanding. How is this one and the cell full not the same as capacity or charge?)

Your cell capacities. We both have 3550 as 100%. (90% of 3550 is 3150. 3550*.9=3150.

Good catch on them, they are wrong. Sorry for the confusion.

Mainly pay attention to this part



This pack isn't really used, just sitting with a bench power keeping it around 70%... It's my power supply for a raspberry pi with Solar Assistant connected to my main 48V system...

I had an issue where I couldn't get a new pack I built to discharge. I had to isolate it and charge with dedicated charger to get it to work.

Solved JBD Experts Help. No current. I'm stumped.

Edit - solved. Shut off the other 2 breakers and isolated the problem child, started charging right away. Back to batteries and doing some laundry to drain them down for optimal photon harvesting tomorrow. I finished wiring up the 3rd pack and I can't get current to flow through the BMS...
