Have ordered the renogy 500ah shunt to monitor my system. Should there be an inline fuse between the power going from the battery to the display
Couldn't find any info on wether this needs doing

A fuse is there to protect the wire / prevent fire etc. in the event of short circuit.

So good practice would be to have an inline fuse as close to the battery as possible. Not familiar with Renogy, but my Victron Smart Shunt was supplied with inline fuse battery connection wire.

Managed to get a fairly quick response from renogy
Apparently they say no fuse is require on this shunt so may help others getting the same device
