Running main cable directly off cell instead of terminal

I’m upgrading my original battery cables from the two AWG to a 4/0 cable because I just installed my multiplus, can I run the 4/0 cable directly off of the battery terminals from the south itself? The battery cover and case is a bit big and I’m moving things around thanks

Yes. Although 4/0 is fairly stiff and could put significant tension on the terminal while you shift things around. Best to get all situated so the wire can be bent manually to rest gently in place on the cell terminal.

Might be an idea to use 2 nuts on each stud.

1st nut/washer ( I like nyloc nuts) holds large lugs down and a 2 nut/washer on the same stud holds the BMS wires
