Simple question, just not finding the answer. Offgrid inverter AC-In breaker recommendation?

I am trying to gather the proper fuses for an upcoming offgrid MPII 120v 3kva inverter installation, the Victron manual suggests a 50a fuse for AC-in and out.
I understand the AC-out goes to a 50a breaker in the main service panel, but what breaker is used for the AC-in from the generator?
Can I use a din rail mounted AC 50a mini breaker mounted under the inverter or...?

Yes, or any other option.
May not need anything if the generator output is less than 50a. And has its own built-in protection.

Thanks for that. The generator is a typical crappy 3600w ICE, and it wont let me pull more than half that without bogging out, so 1800w/120v=15a.
But if I stick with manufacturer's recommendation, this would be fine?
