Hi
Would greatly appreciate some help.

Camper trailer setup and vehicle.proposed.

1 x 200w fixed panel on camper fixed.
1 x 200w fixed on vehicle ( cars own dcdc charger).
2 x Portable Panel setup for chasing sun at camp,
Either 2 x 200w ( I build leg supports) or
4 x 100w panels , ( I hinge them , two pairs and build legs )

Reason for the 100w panels? because they are more compact to pack.

Idea is, run 3 panels, 1x200w + 2x100w pairs for camping, and have the option to hook up the 200w vehicle panel if needed, but disconnecting from car.

Question. Is mixing the 100w panels a bad idea with the order 200w. All renogy Panels.

Have A victron 100/ 50 Mppt

Note, Renogy do have suitcase models, but trying to save $$

Thanks

I would suggest reading the link. It goes into (the dos & don'ts) of mixing panels. In general different watt/voltage panels should have their own Solar Charge Controllers, but some types of mixing are better than other.

Yes I understand best to keep the same, but my description states the reasoning behind the mix, they are however all renogy and similar so so specs... the alternative is I use 100w panels all around, but that's alot more connections.
