These batteries are placed in Parallel

I'm waiting for someone to tell me that these batteries are not in parallel

Both negative and positive poles are tied together and pass trough either a shunt or fuse to connect to the load/charger. There is no diagonal connection.

Any chance you could fuse each battery?

Also are you placing the batteries in parallel for added current capability or just extra run time?

Good, it was to prove a point. AFAIK these batteries are placed in parallel and there is no need for bus bars or any other pointless things when we have two batteries in parallel.

The one end of the shunt that each negative wire of each battery connected to is basically the busbar junction point for negative, same for the positive wires of the batteries, the input side of the fuse is the junction point for the batteries. So using your diagram, the batteries wires should have same gauge and equal length.

I could argue that the shunt and the fuse are taking the place of the busbar but again, what’s the point?

Regardless, wire length from each BMS/battery to the common connection should be equal.
