Hello,

I was told I could get locally the "Trina Solar Limited Solar Panel Series Vertex S TSM-DE19 535W"

I was wondering if the eg4 6500ex (x2) would accept those panels?

Here is some info I found:

1. PTC rating calculated using 43°C as the NOCT (Nominal Cell Operating Temperature)

I tried using the midnitesolar tool, but Im not sure if I did it right.
FYI:
Coldest Ambient Temp 9.4 C°
Hottest Ambient Temp 37.2 C°

Any help is always appreciated. :p

Also, I would like to have the minimum # of panels, (roof mounted).
somewhere in the neighborhood of 8kW eventually 16kW if needed...

My power company claims we use about 14kW/day, (I am planning on using more  ).
Also got 6 X EG4-LL 48V batteries. (collecting dust since I'm still waiting for the inverters.)

Thanks.

Those are some really large panels. Think about that before dragging them up on a roof.

It is a bit surprising to see such a large panel with such a low Voc.

You should post the charger MPPT spec on the inverter/charger, to get the best answer.

10 per string will be good for the EG4 and with 4 input's per pair of those inverters you could have 40 kw of panels !!!

LOL, I won't be the one carrying them.

Max PV Array Open Circuit 500VDC
PV Array 90VDC - 450VDC
Max Input Current Draw 18A per MPPT
Number of MPPT 2
Max Charging Current (PV) 120A

Don't know if 13 panels (6.955kW) is enough?
My power company claims we use about 14kW/day.
But if I were to use 20 to 25kW/day, would those 13 panels be enough?
You should go to PVWatts and run the calculator for 7000w your location, your panel azimuth, and tilt. The results will tell you how many KWH you can expect each month and year. (roof mounted?)

Well PVWatts says: 11,300 kWh/Year.
