I'm deciding between two panels for my project, I already have approved building permits and PG&E interconnection agreement (need to be careful about what I change). I submitted the Canadian Solar CS3N-390MS, however it looks like pricing is much better on the Canadian Solar CSR-390MS. I'm going to be installing 28 panels and the CS3N panels are about $40 more per panel so it adds up, is it worth it?

well at 40$ per panel. 28 panels x 40$ is 1120 dollars. Enough for you to get more panels if you have the space for it.
I like that the csr has less cells. I also like the efficiency of the csr. 18.6w/sqft.
They otherwise seem to be similarly rated.

How does the lower voltage of the CSR impact the layout and string voltages. Will you need larger conductors?

I was playing around with the layout last night and the CSR actually works better allowing me to fit 2 more panels. The deal I'm looking at is for a pallet of 30 and I was originally looking at a 28 panel layout. So I would have the panels to add the extra 2, given that it seems like the way to go is with the CS6R + $1,120 savings in panel costs.

What price are you getting on these solar panels as I need to buy a pallet also, are they the ones on signature solar?
