Hi every one I just got 10 panels and thinking of setting them up,
what would be the best config for them and charge controller ?
will be mounted on roof and will get about 8 hours of sun.
want to use 2@ 24v batteries in series or 48v battery
thanks in advance

Panel Specs

TC Power Rating 250W
PTC Power Rating 227.8W 1
STC Power per unit of area 14.2W/ft2 (152.7W/m2)
Peak Efficiency 15.27%
Power Tolerances 0%/+3%
Number of Cells 60
Nominal Voltage not applicable
Imp 8.2A
Vmp 30.5V
Isc 8.85A
Voc 37.7V
NOCT 45°C
Temp. Coefficient of Isc 0.06%/K
Temp. Coefficient of Power -0.41%/K
Temp. Coefficient of Voltage -0.117V/K
Series Fuse Rating 15A
Maximum System Voltage 1000V

2500W / 56V charging = 43A SCC

vs

2500W / 28V charging = 86A SCC

Do you have an SCC in mind? Or do you have a budget/reliability preference?

If you setup the array as 5S2P, your SCC would need to handle at least 200V max input volts.

An SCC that accepts lower max input volts for a 3S3P array for example, would need to accept over 125V.

ok what if I use 2 @ 100/50 SCC

2S5P on a single 100/50 would only be slightly overpaneled.

HOWEVER, in hot conditions the Vmp of the panels may be insufficient to deliver adequate voltage for full charge @ 48V, or they will significantly underperform.

These are 60 cell panels based on the voltage. 72 cell panels are considered appropriate for 24V (or 2S for 48V), and 72 cell panels will likely be too high on Voc for a 100/50.

what SCC and battery setup would you recommend for the 60 cell panel

what about 2 @ 150/60 ???
The 150 would nicely work with 3S. 10 panels does not split evenly into 3 very well.

1 SCC at 3S3P would work well. 1 unused panel.

Or 100/50 and 150/60 with 2S2P and 3S2P to use all your panels and have redundancy.
You could just get 2x 150/60 and have true redundancy as well as room for 2 more panels.

ok cool

Worth noting that a 150/60 is overkill for even 3S2P. A 150/35 will more than handle 3S2P. Larger is only needed if in-place expandability is needed/wanted. Even a 150/35 could capture another 530W above the 1500W 3S2P array.

Hi again every one I have 3 questions
yesterday I was given a brand new Conext SW 4024 Inverter from my uncle :)
so now am thinking about using a 24v system,
1) will my setup still work for the 2 X 150/60 charger controllers ??
2) going to use 12 panels now 2 x 3s2p configuration can this work ??
3) can I use a 4-2 solar panel combiner box ??

1) Yes. They will obviously need to be reprogrammed for a 24V system
2) Yes, and you won't be over-paneled anymore. You should be able to capture whatever power the arrays will output.
3) I expect so. Each 3S2P using two inputs and one output for each MPPT.

A combiner box isn't necessary the 2 strings can be combined with MC4 branch plug, then wire to the charge controller
