Im wondering if this setup will work to be able to turn on two lights using two switches.
I want to be able to turn on the lights from two different locations but I have no way of making a three way switch. Will this work? or will it cause a short circuit.
the switch pannel that I already have is only normal switches. I don't want a three way switch. I want to be able to do it this way if possible but don't want to waste my time if it won't work.
Actually, groogling the title of your post will give you no end of examples of how to do it.
Your schematic basically shows an OR logic gate (either one will switch the light on).
Usually it's done with a (basically) XOR (exclusive OR) logic and a three-way switch, but that will work - except you have to switch both off individually to turn the light off.
In my house, almost all the lights are DC, but I don't bother with wires for switches. I use remote controlled ones - you can get them with any number of controls, so it's easy.
