My system is currently 16 (sixteen) Kyocera KC80 panels (old), wired in series/parallel for 24V, running through a Xantrex (Schneider) C40 Charge Controller to a bank of 32 Trojan T105RE batteries, also wired in series/parallel for 24V. I am replacing the KC80 panels with 6 (six) Trina Solar Tallmax Plus 72-cell Monocrystalline panels rated at 340W/38.2V/8.90A/46.2V Open Circuit each. I would like to know if I can wire these panels in such a way that I can continue to use my C40 Charge Controller (125Vdc max PV array open circuit voltage, 40A continuous charging load current, 85A maximum short circuit current).

Checking my math, that would give me 76.4V and 26.7A going into the controller.

You should use Voc which is 46.2 -> 92.4 (other wise I would have said 3s2p - but that goes over 125)
