Hey everyone,
Trying to figure out the NEC 2020 requirements. Planning to have several batteries paralleled together (with only UL certified cells, but not the whole battery), with the charge on those batteries being maintained (due to self discharge) by the grid and / or solar as needed.
The batteries only function would be to power the home load in the event of a grid outage, via the inverter, without interruption of power to the house.
Would this type of configuration be an ESS or a UPS?
