Hi all, we are in the uk , i currenlty have 4 * 400w perlight solar panels, and 2*250 w panels.

Looking at the specs of the victron 225 panels they seem as good as a perlight 415w panel, am i missing something.

they dom cost the same but can a 225w victron be as powerfull as a 415watt panel

By definition, they produce different wattage. I’m not sure what you are getting at.

hi, but the victron can produce 37volts and th eperlight can produce 38.9v,

some basic Ohm's Law
Amps = Watts / Volts

napkin math
Victron panel, 250w/37v = 6.75a - (Amps x Volts = Watts, 6.75a x 37v = 249.75w)
other panel, 400w/38.9v = 10.28a - (Amps x Volts = Watts, 10.28a x 38.9v = 399.89w)

so a 400w panel will produce about 3.53 more amps than the 250w Victron panel
I'd say that's a significant difference

You didn't need the maths to get from watts to amps back to watts again ;)

If the specs provided by the manufacturers are correct, then a 225W panels will produce a max of 225W and a 415W panel a max of 415W - i.e. 84% more power is produced by the 415W panels over the 225W ones.

Which is what @Bluedog225 said above.
