Voltronics hybrid inverter remote control

I have a new Voltronics hybrid 6kw split phase scc/inverter. Mine is from Sungold Power. But, it's the same unit.

Has anyone in this community messed around with this code, built and programmed devices to work with voltronics inverters?

A search yields nothing in past posts.

I have some experience using esp32 to work with jbd bms.

Just like I did on the overkill esp32 thread, I'm going to document the progress here.

Today, Sungold sent me the rs-485 spec for inverter/bms communication. It's attached

My goals with this project are just to make a better dashboard which integrates with my existing esp32/blynk/node-red stack. Hopefully, there are some other features exposed too. It would be great to be able to enable/disable and take the unit off standby remotely.
