I made a 8s 24 volt nominal battery out of the Shenzen Basen 280ah Eve cells.
Since the cell terminals are pretty delicate I used 10 awg wires for balance leads so that I could top the cells individually and even do per cell capacity testing without breaking the pack.
I cross connected the leads using a terminal block which meant I would have to disconnect the balance leads in order to charge/discharge individual cells. It also a presented a short circuit opportunity which continually bugged me. After the pack was put in service in a spot with less than ideal physical access I decided to change over to Wago 221-613's which mitigated the short hazard and meant that I didn't have to disconnect the bms to charge/discharge individual cells.
Problem solved but its a dog's breakfast
Wago Canada was kind enough to send me some samples.
I used the 221-510 din mount carrier to bring order to the chaos.
