Silly (maybe?) question: I'm upgrading my cables from my 2 renogy rover li MPPTs (each has a separate 300watt panel array) to my battery ( to avoid voltage irregularities with mppt attached to inverter posts).

I have 2 renogy lifepo4 12v batts wired together. Any reason I can't attach my mppt to the *other* positive and negative terminals (not the ones the inverter is already attached to)?

My thought is to keep the posts cleaner with fewer things attached to each.

Or, am I better off putting both mppts and inverter on the same two terminals?

Thx for helping

It depends, we're going to need some more information like:

12v or 24v system?
Why do you have 2x 300w arrays instead of 1x 600w array? i.e. why 2 MPPT's?
You can have up to 3 things on a post according to regs, are you already at that?
Do your MPPT's connect to the batteries, to a bus block, or to the inverter directly as a bus block?

In short, as long as you don't break the 3-things-to-a-post rule, you can connect up your wires to your batteries any way you want as long as the power is going the right direction. So you could connect the inverter and 2 MPPT's directly to the battery, or 2 MPPT's to a single post on a bus bar with the batteries and the inverter on their own bolts, or 3 MPPT's to a bolt on your bus bar or or or or...

Does that help?
