Why are the AiLi Amps Reading So High?

Why do the amps on the AiLi jump so high when I turn this fan on that's plugged into my inverter? This vid is only 12 seconds but it shows what I'm talking about. The amps on the AiLi starts with 2A. Then I turn on this fan drawing 1.11A and the AiLi increases 10A to 12.6A.

Fan is 110VAC, battery is 12V, approx 10 times difference. DC current will be approx 10 times AC current.

110V x 1A = 110W
12V x 9A = 110W
