Wiring diagram on back of panel terminal block resistor question

Hi all. in this wiring diagram for a 90 watt photowatt panel what are the "option" resistors for and why an option? This is not a dual voltage model. (sold as 12v)

Not resistors, but diodes. These are the bypass diodes. If it were only a 12V system they would not be needed as the panel could never go into bypass. If you have two or more panels with a MPPT controller the panels could go into bypass with partial shade.

Leave them, unless directly instructed in the manual.
