Traditional Battery Case for 280ah Cells

Found a battery box that will fit 4 of the 280ah cells with room for the BMS as well. 335mmL 180mm wide 215mm high. Uses a M8 button post which is common on AGM batteries. Working on getting a few in for my batteries. Will let you all know how it works out.

where did you source the case? I've been emptying sla battery cases and reusing them.

Found them on Alibaba but they are pricey. About $60 each but thats with air freight. But I don't care because the price for 1 280ah battery with BMS and case is about $550. That replaces my 2 of my 140ah AGM's and is 50 pounds versus 240 pounds. I will let out the source after I get them and i'm sure that they work.

Well all my battery boxes are on the way. Chen my contact at the link below worked with Amy at Xuba to get them shipped with my 280ah cells. Amy is great she took care of everything. Shipping was only $52 extra above the cells shipping. I think it would have been less if I wouldn't of had 1 extra empty box. Amy put the cells in the box and used a lot of foam to fill in. The 5 boxes ended up costing about $48 each

40.00 shipped fits my budget... and think it has plenty of room. Perhaps my calculations are off though.

They are on Fedex as we speak. To be delivered on Tuesday, will let you know then. According to all the dimensions they should fit with extra room.

I built up this pack and dropped it into a Todd Universal Marine Battery box. It is about 1" taller, wider and longer than a group 31 battery box. Heavy duty and fairly reasonably priced. Todd Universal Battery Box

Where did you get those or how cheaply were you able to produce that cage. I'm very very interested in how you made that cage. What's the blue led plugged into the bms. is that a bluetooth module? If so. what software does it use

Hi Chuck

The thing in the middle of the U channel is a threaded rod. On the outside of the U channel is 5/8 clear vinyl tubing for chafe protection.

Yes I did build it and ordered most parts from McMaster-Carr. I'm putting a list of the parts together for another thread and should have it up in the next few days. Ill link it here too.

Yes the Blue LED is for the bluetooth for the BMS. Purchased it from Overkill Solar (forum member).

This was not cheap to make, but should last a long time and keep the cells nice and secure. Ill figure out how much was spent on it and post it also, some of the stuff was just lying around the house.

Received 8 more cells and the battery boxes today. I only took time to see how 4 cells fit in the box and its prefect. Just enough room for BMS and plenty of head room. Will try to post a pic in the nex few days. I will now be getting more of the boxes so I have enough for all my cells. Amy did a great job as usual in packing everything. 32 days from ordering to my door.

What are you getting your cells for? i just ordered 20 cells. From someone else on allibaba. I get mine for 90.25 shipped per cell. I'm mostly curious now about how much you get those battery boxes for. Who are you getting those from? The same case. is about 100 per case shipped. Also what bms are you using. I went with the daly 100amp 4s 12v.
