And I am looking forward to not having to work anymore
Oh, I didn't tell you, I am a "minimalist", not fanatic as I do like some luxuries, especially a comfortable bed.You don’t have to work now. A couple of lifestyle changes, sacrifice home and cats, and you can participate in the early prototype of comfortable poverty freely available now in the US.
What country are you living in? Are you a Socialist?Oh, I didn't tell you, I am a "minimalist", not fanatic as I do like some luxuries, especially a comfortable bed.
Wealth in your country is distributed in a highly unequal fashion, with the wealthiest 1 percent of families in the US holding about 40 percent of all wealth and the bottom 90 percent of families holding less than one-quarter of all wealth. And it is getting worse, at what point does one have enough wealth?
I don't know how any Americans can get by on the minimum wage, when the average monthly health insurance premium alone is about two weeks worth of labour.
Sure I guess. More wealth never equals less wealth. And if people don’t like less wealth they should get more.Wealth in your country is distributed in a highly unequal fashion,
Wait, you mean four five hours of Xbox a day doesn’t lead to a productive and fulfilling life? You fascist. Bread and circuses for all! Eat the rich!Sure I guess. More wealth never equals less wealth. And if people don’t like less wealth they should get more.
Imagine if just 20% of the bottom 50% of wage earners used their time better; did something productive for a while, got skills for a better job… instead of the 3.5+ hours of television every day of the week. There’s 3 days’ extra pay every week. And what’s the average monthly cable bill these days?
I'd rather be poor in places like Scandinavian countries, Germany, UK, NZ there you get an apartment to play Xbox and a bit of money to buy food. For what ever reasons most people don't take advantage of those systems... hm wonder how that works...You don’t have to work now. A couple of lifestyle changes, sacrifice home and cats, and you can participate in the early prototype of comfortable poverty freely available now in the US.
just don't have health insurance. Not mandatory over there.I don't know how any Americans can get by on the minimum wage, when the average monthly health insurance premium alone is about two weeks worth of labour.
you looked at what twitch streamers and ESports Players make these days? It's getting a valid career choiceWait, you mean four five hours of Xbox a day doesn’t lead to a productive and fulfilling life?
IDGAF what others do with their time. Just don’t expect me or future generations to fund it.I'd rather be poor in places like Scandinavian countries, Germany, UK, NZ there you get an apartment to play Xbox and a bit of money to buy food. ?More wealth never equals less wealth.
People always do, lets hope they do it through the ballot box instead of using pitchforks, because the latter would be really stupid. And if people don’t like less wealth they should get more.
That is the problem, most people can't imagine what it is like for people who do not have the same abilities and drive as they have. It looks so simple.Imagine if just 20% of the bottom 50% of wage earners used their time better; did something productive for a while, got skills for a better job… instead of the 3.5+ hours of television every day of the week. It doesn’t take rocket science. I’ve offered a few folks help in starting a business. No one wants it. Almost anyone with grit in the west can get mildly wealthy. That is the problem, most people can't imagine what it is like for people who do not have the same abilities and drive as they have. Not every one has grit.It doesn’t take rocket science. I’ve offered a few folks help in starting a business. No one wants it. Almost anyone with grit in the west can get mildly wealthy.
Whatever the causes (there is never a single cause) growing income disparity will always reach a point where it will destroy nations from within. The biggest thing that’s creating the wealth gap in the west is obscene levels of money printing. Cantillon effect.
It is simple- according to army and census statistics it should be relatively simple for over 92% to perhaps 96% of the population in the USA.That is the problem, most people can't imagine what it is like for people who do not have the same abilities and drive as they have. It looks so simple
Unless one makes incredibly poor choices…Almost anyone with grit in the west can get mildly wealthy.
Karl Marx mentioned that. I’m not buying it.Whatever the causes (there is never a single cause) growing income disparity will always reach a point where it will destroy nations from within
You misunderstand me. I’m not talking about redistributing wealth; I’m talking about the results of personal industriousness of individuals. You don’t have to take money from people, you can have other people pay you at a profit for goods, services, labor, and value-added products.People always do, lets hope they do it through the ballot box instead of using pitchforks, because the latter would be really stupid.
Oh. Different words. Same results. The biggest thing that’s creating the wealth gap in the west is obscene levels of money printing. Cantillon effect.

We are talking about income disparity and the distribution of wealth. What do you think the 90% can do?What do you think people should do at the ballot box to get money?
Jesus Christ!?

I wish we had that policy. I’ve needed help a few times but didn’t have the… I don’t know, just couldn’t apply for welfare and I was a single custodial parent to a couple teenage girls. On the other hand I survived and surpassed it; got some paying work the very day I literally spent my last $5 buying a couple days of food and some heating oil in 2009ish, and then some more before that cash dried up.If you work, you eat. If you don't you starve.
It is not just the lazy who are looking for handouts. Why is it that the lazy are always looking for some way to get something for free?
Regardless if you are wrong or right that is what has happened throughout human history.Accept your lazy, dont want to work and just be broke. But, no. Instead you will attempt to hand power to a few people and give them the opportunity to get wealthy on the promise they will toss you a few scraps and you can sit on your ass doing nothing. Or you will grab the pitchforks and with their blessing go take it away from people who worked.
