Question about my system

Hello,
I built a portable solar system with 2-250W PV’s, a 40a Renogy Rover, a Renogy 2000W PSW inverter and 2-200? AH gel golf cart batteries.
I tried to use an 1800W tabletop induction stove to cook but the inverter alarm came on within 30 seconds and the 100a inline breaker tripped. Why didn’t it work? Was the 200W inverter too small? If I had used a 3000w inverter would my other components support it?
What should I do?

Because on a 12v system that would be about 180a on a 100a fuse. You'll either need a bigger fuse and/or wire or go to a 24v system and inverter that would only draw about 95a.

2000w / 12v × 1.2 = 200a at least and 2/0 copper wire.

Not #2 AWG, but 2/0 AWG per recommendation above, a bit larger than 2 AWG
Examples - https://www.ebay.com/itm/142066917299 or https://www.ebay.com/itm/291959905904 - but search around for best price / foot and you may want red and black etc.

I have another question: Is it true that both the positive and negative wires going from the inverter to the battery must be exactly the same length?
