New solar generators from MAXOAK Bluetti. Launch on Indiegogo on July 1st. Will just did his review of the AC200 and it looks great!
AC200 Review

IDK, it made me uncomfortable that there didn't seem to be ANYTHING that Will didn't like. I sounded too much like a paid endorsement. I KNOW he doesn't do those, but that was the feeling his review gave me. A couple of things I still want to know is how much does it cost and what does it weigh?

Retail is $1800. IGG pricing will be $1000-$1100 for super early bird. It weighs double what the Delta weighs. I also thought the video was very brief and left out a lot of good info. If Will is essentially taking credit for it, he should have had an hour long video showing everything it can do.

Do you really think Will would ruin his unbiased review rep. Like he said, it worked as advertised. His other videos are longer because he spends more time bitching and retesting.

I know, the beer glass is half full. It's just odd he didn't show half of what it can do. Hopefully there's a follow-up video. I still don't know what a 25V DC output port is for. He never showed it pull close to 700W of solar.

Does anyone know if the solar Input of the new Buletti has an MPPT tracker like the Titan has?

Of course it is MPPT.
145 volt max input according to Will even if it says 150 volts input and 15 amps on the unit.

?
Just because it has an input for solar does not mean that it has tracking as well. So I’m not sure I understand your answer and where you got your information from.

Nobody is making over $1000 solar generators with PWM. They are ALL MPPTT and have been for a while.

Umm i get my info from the manufacturer.
Go look at the Maxoak website
Also i am an expert on solar generators. Lolz
And Will Prowse said the same on his review video so why are you so doubtful and uninformed??

Maybe you are an expert in solar generators but not so much when it comes to expressing yourself clearly. Will did not say anything about tracking in his video, that’s why I’m asking “experts” like you.

Will said MPPT in the comments on the video and that he didnt mention MPPT in the video coz it was too obvious except to guys like you.
145 volt input and not MPPT???

Even the $1000 Jackery 1000 watt is MPPT. it only has a 32 volt max input and 10 amps max.

Its humongous! 57.3 lbs
The weight should have been up front. My bad back cringes at the thought. They must be using Titnate cells to get that weight. What does a 2000 watt inverter weigh?

The only downside for me is the weight (57lbs.) and that's not an issue for my bad back with one of these https://www.homedepot.com/b/Storage...plies-Hand-Trucks/Magna-Cart/N-5yc1vZchn9Znh4

I'd gladly sacrifice some weight and portability for a 2500+ cycle life battery, 2000w inverter, and 700w solar input. The price tag is good and I'm sure Maxoak will offer coupons after the pre-sale like they have with their other products. I don't think you'll end up paying full retail $1799.00 unless you want to. I never thought I'd regret buying my Bluetti EB150 until I saw Will's review on the AC200.

I registered an account to comment here about someone's skepticism regarding the Will first-look at this system. I've only started diving into solar and solar generators recently and found the DIYSolar channel and site. But it's clear to me the guy isn't putting out videos just to make affiliate money; heck he doesn't even have an affiliate link for the AC200. The Ecoflow R600 videos were nearly damning! Also it seems clear that Will's intention is to do follow-up videos for the AC200 and after watching several very thorough (long) videos he'll probably address all the major points of the thing. I'm looking forward to it.
Thanks everyone for the information sharing and discussion regarding the solar generators; it's a lot to learn and money to spend

Exactly. This video only took one day of testing and 4 days of cycling. Super easy. Never went into safety mode unlike the other models I test.

Filming the R600 discouraged me a lot. Over a week of testing daily and constant problems. I still have a dead R600 in my lab.

No it is a standard weight considering its output. The Titan is over 100 lbs. Battery type and size is the largest weight factor. They are using a high specific energy chemistry too. If we built this with LiFePO4 or titanate, it would weigh 70+ pounds.

Do the math for specific energy of NMC at this capacity and you will know what I mean. Also consider PCB weight of MPPT inductors.

Actually the more I think about it, the bluetti is the lightest around given its stats. Thanks for making me think about this.
