EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

Been a bad few days for PV, batteries have been drifting away from each other and my OCD got the better of me.
Set the inverter to charge at its maximum 12kW, pushing 220A into the battery packs with no help from solar.

Been cloudy 3 days here now other than 1 1/2 hrs yesterday. Notice I still generate some power with clouds. I conserve as much as possible during these days. I notice I'm able to receive about enough to get by with 11 batteries instead of 3 and 16 panels seem to work better than just 8 on these cloudy days. I use propane to heat on cloudy days and when sunny I use the mini split. More panels on the way to make 3rd string of 8 , hoping it helps on the cloudy days. Have the Chargeverter still sitting in the box, try to only use solar to charge. Meter reading to take place on the 17th, will be my first month with zero usage just to see if I could do it and it's happening.

Are there any requirements on what kind of generator you hookup to the EG4 18KPV to charge the batteries? I have a DuroMax XP13000EH and the output is not pure sine wave.

I had them Pull it until We test it
Fair - although I was excited.
Since I have your attention - has it been confirmed at SS that when this system has "micro grid" checked, it won't back feed a generator when attached to the "grid" connection?

Micro Grid is for connecting your generator to the grid ports if you dont have grid available.

But if you have a generator tied to your generator port. It will not turn the generator on as long as Grid power is on. I hope this helps

No grid connected to my system.
Wanted to use the grid port for my inverter generator to charge up the batteries and provide support on bad days (manually) and use the generator port for smart load when the sun is good. Just looking to confirm the inverter won't back feed my new generator.

Are you wanting to tie smart load and generator to the same port? If so you dont you just put the generator on your grid port if you dont have grid? You cant share that port its either Generator, AC Couple, Or Smart Load

Nope.
This..... attach my generator to the grid input terminal. Manually start the inverter to supply AC to the inverter when needed to charge the batteries and supply the remaining power to my loads. My set up is off grid.

And this when there is ample sunshine...

We are almost on the same page :)

You will not back feed your generator. We actually tested this not to long ago sorry for the confusion. Pv or battery will not supply loads while the generator is on. Pv will help charge batteries but thats it.

Cool.
Would be better if it would help charge the battery - but it will serve the purpose I need.
Thank you for hanging in there with me!

It was a great run… I’ve had 5 days with this random craziness, cant reach signature solar

Have any of you seen something like this? It has done it during the day with 99% batteries, and 10,000-12,000w of solar

Its done it with no solar at night, with 90% battery

No detected patterns. Random

Any advice from you guys?

What firmware are you running?

What happens when you turn the grid off?
