The reason i called this a unfair comparison is high frequency inverters have issues that toridal inverters will never have its not exactly apple to apple but it is a look at surge capabilities of both, and you are absolutely correct about the weird naming it is deceptive.

Here is another test of inverters capabilities, this is still not a completely fair test but it seems to only test inversion capabilities of both inverters, I don't belive its fair to test a hf inverter vs a lf inverter as we all know hf inverters do not do well with unbalanced loads.

only issue with multiple bms's is cost as long as they are decent, if you go with parraleling cells you will need a bms that can balance your parallel groups and it would be advised to use something like "rec" bms with contactors.

Thermal runaway in your application would be a non issue using a 5kva inverter, maxed out continually your draw on each cell would not even warm them, a thermal run away issue could come from temperature or over/under discharge tho

Your idea of "properly set up" is the problem...he stated his systems are designed to be OFF GRID! So in this config you will easily face some of the issues he presented not everyone will use this the same way, these are high frequency inverters and have inherent weaknesses...all that video...

Because solark has exclusive distribution for split phase models i doubt deye will make any for sale outside of what solark will offer and using a transformer will incur some efficiency loss...then again it might also solve any imbalance issues...
