What was it set to and what did you increase it to?Looks like increasing the "Start PV Volt(V)" value fixed my issues. Thanks @Markus_EG4
For anyone having this issue, I don't think you can change this value your self for some reason, need to contact EG4 (ie: Markus) to get it done.
Wouldn't it make more sense to set the threshold based on wattage?it was at 140v start up this is enough to turn the inverter on. He has no battery so when it was reaching 140v it was trying to switch over to pv. When this happens and the sun is being blocked or going up and down the inverter is switching to PV and switch back opening and closing the relay. I changed it to 280v start instead because thats really when you can start supporting a small load with PV alone.
I also had to select that he didnt have batteries PV Off grid is what the setting is labeled on the app right now but its being changed to No Battery so it makes more sense.
Why cant that be changed by the enduser? What if Markus hits the lottery and retires?Looks like increasing the "Start PV Volt(V)" value fixed my issues. Thanks @Markus_EG4

You have to enable the mppt relay to read wattage right. To see the volts and amps combined at the load.Wouldn't it make more sense to set the threshold based on wattage?
You could easily hit xxx voltage on a cloudy day but not make any usable power.

Maybe we raise it to a higher start by defaultWhy cant that be changed by the enduser? What if Markus hits the lottery and retires?
I believe you can change it in Advance, select Vpv start(V)Why cant that be changed by the enduser? What if Markus hits the lottery and retires?
Fronius PrimoWhat brand AC coupled inverter do you have?
Yep, same. I bumped up the PV start voltage and tadaI have the same issue with the lux 12k us
Firmware FAAB-1717
Where it would turn off and on 12 to 15 times in the morning every minute or so.
Also happened once in the evening.
I've changed the Start pv voltage from 140 to 250v to see if that remedies it.
Seems like it could be a Firmware issue.
Or have something to do with the vmp voltage of the pv array.
Is your inverter connected to the grid? Or a battery?I get the same on/off at sunrise and sunset on my MPP Solar LV2424 and just thought it's normal. Most mornings it doesn't wake us up but the relay clicking does get annoying. It's been doing thos for over 3 years. It's almost an alarm clock that competes with a rooster if one is around.
Good to know. I think it could/should be fixed on the firmware side.Yep, same. I bumped up the PV start voltage and tada
Note: This was a problem before FAB-1717 for me
I'm connected via battery. Is your inverter connected to the grid? Or a battery?
If there is no Ac input or battery it is normal for the inverter to try to start and fail as the sun comes up. But it would be great if MPP could add an adjustable solar start voltage as well.
So the lux 12k exposes the solar voltage startup setting to end users whereas the eg4 doesn't?I have the same issue with the lux 12k us

OKAY so definitely an issue there. Is it the battery that clicks or the inverter?I'm connected via battery.
It's adjustable on the 18kpvSo the lux 12k exposes the solar voltage startup setting to end users whereas the eg4 doesn't?
We know its adjustable on the 18kpv, but is it adjustable by the end user? My understanding is that it is not! It's adjustable on the 18kpv
Yes it is on the EG4 18Kpv, but can only be accessed on the unit by the end user.We know its adjustable on the 18kpv, but is it adjustable by the end user? My understanding is that it is not!
Correct me if I am wrong.
