Hello all, we have an EG4 6000EX inverter as part of an off grid solar EV charging station. Been running great for about a year now. About 3 weeks ago the inverter just stopped putting out power. Voltmeter on terminals registers 2.99V. Batteries are fully charged. Wondering if anyone here has any suggestions. We called Tech support and they had us update the firmware. Unfortunately, it didn't resolve the problem. At their request we sent them picture of our entire setup, then they asked for photos of the AC output lines disconnected from the inverter and testing with a voltmeter at the output terminals with no wires connected, line 1 to neutral & line 2 to neutral, which we sent --- 2.99V. That was 2 weeks ago. Since then they have not responded to any of our emails. Meanwhile we are having to charge on the grid and that is costing us PG&E's insane rates something like .50/kw. I don't know if SS still has a presence here and might be able to help, or if there is some other troubleshooting we can try... When it stopped output, nothing had changed, we didn't change any settings, charge any different vehicles... etc... it was working, then it wasn't. Appreciate any advice or if there is SS rep here who can help us get some support. -cj- Voltmeter on inverter.jpgVoltmeter on inverter.jpg

Some have reported the terminals have burned at PCB board. You could take the cover off and look at the connections to see if it is burned. There are videos on YouTube about this. I'll see if i can find a link.

Would you be able to do a test in ohm's the same way on the AC output and battery terminals? In the meantime, I will get in contact with a Signature Solar representative and have them reach out to you as soon as possible.

Hi! If you'd like to DM me your name and email address, I can get you taken care of!

Would you be able to do a test in ohm's the same way on the AC output and battery terminals? In the meantime, I will get in contact with a Signature Solar representative and have them reach out to you as soon as possible.
I would think so, will do and let you know.

With the meter set on Ohms, inverter on, checked both the AC output and battery terminals on both batteries. In all cases the reading on the meter was 0, no short alarm generated.

Well, I inadvertently replied to myself.. but with the meter set on Ohms, inverter on, checked both the AC output and battery terminals on both batteries. In all cases the reading on the meter was 0, no short alarm generated.

I just want to confirm the multimeter read 0L and not 0. Zero ohms would indicate a short in this case.
