Hi friends, has anyone currently operating the EG4 18K observed excessive amounts of heat running it at its advertised capacity, either maxing out the PV generation or maxing out AC output? The specs on the EG 18k are impressive, but I'm worried it will die on me in a year if its build quality is like the other EG4 products. The quality generally does look a lot better than the 6500ex units. My pair of EG4 6500 EX units melted themselves last week and are likely totally dead.

I live in West Texas, and my installers put the EG4 Inverter on the West side of the house. It took 1 weeks of 90+ degree heat to shut down the inverter. Now my batteries don't charge, and my entire house power cycles 3-6 times a day

Mine live in a room off the garage where it routinely hits over 110F, and keep chugging along. It hit 120F in there a week or so ago. Just a fan. I plan on moving them to an outbuilding at some point.

If you'd like to direct message me your serial number, I can look into this for you and check why this might be happening.
