I need to add a BMS or multiple BMS's to my LiFePO4 battery bank, and I am a bit confused on which to purchase. I have 16 - 60ah cells in a 12v configuration and I was wondering if anyone knew whether I should attach one 16S 200A BMS, 2 - 8S 100A BMS's, or 4 - 4S 60A BMS's. It seems like multiple BMS's might be less expensive, but performance (and the proper setup) is most important. I appreciate any help or comments on my setup. Thank you in advance!

I have 16 separate 3.2v cells in series by 4 and paralleled to equal 12v. So with 16 individual cells, I was wondering if it would be better to buy four 4S BMS's or one 16S BMS. Does it make any difference if I have one, two, or four BMS's? Thank you for your response!

Each sense wire expects to see a 3.2 volt increase from the previous cell. That increase stops @ 12V. I suspect connecting the next sense wire to the next call will result in you breathing in the magic smoke.
4 BMS's for your arrangement i'm afraid.

That makes perfect sense (no pun intended). I now have a better understanding of why I need 4 BMS's. I appreciate your explanation and response! Thanks!
