How long do LifePo4 batteries last during storage and use?

Ive gotten amazing deals before.
Yes feedback is good but only 15 reviews so im not sure what to think. If I dont get the item i get a refund, simple as that. Usually ebay holds the money until it's delivered as well.
You are very gullible.
Only 4 feedback as Seller for soaps and crap and not much recently.
I don't see any batteries for sale.
Just soap and junk like this vagina tightening cream!!! Lolz
Haha ha Ha

You got Scammed for sure.

Not that chart, this one. I usually do 60-70% but might do 50% from now on.

The chart I posted is a guideline type of thing. IMO storing between 30-50% will be fine. There is a lot of data missing regarding LFE cells. Note the chart only covers 9 months and might be slightly outdated. Many have received EVE cells that were stored with apx. 50% SOC for a year or more and they still tested at their advertised capacity.

They probably bought or hacked the account.
Did you read the sales feedback?
And $200 shipped is an impossible price to anyone with a bit of knowledge about LFP.
Hacked maybe. I bought a "too good to be true" item off of Ebay. It ended up being a hacked account and Ebay caught it and I received a full refund.

I appreciate you looking out for me and will take your advice.
There was another TGTBT battery on there https://www.ebay.com/itm/164883650066 but has since sold. Copied and pasted description and pictures. Apparently "5 sold" of the one I got before I bought the "last one". Seems like a scam but at least he will be removed from ebay, for a little.

Phenomenal, LiFePo is clearly the way to go.

@Substrate
You were talking about "back in the old days" somewhere.

How many years/cycles did you guys end up getting? What was the average, even with the poor charging choices? Anyone still have banks running at 80%-90% capacity after > 5 years?

@Goombah111
You should msg the seller to confirm you are getting a 12V 100Ah battery, might be click bait with the seller having other capacities for sale (ie. 20Ah is $200 50Ah is $430 100Ah is $860)
Nah. SOK 12v Lifepo4 100ah are $570. At least that was my cost direct from the manufacturer, with free shipping. That was just after Will's review though, so they may have went up a bit. I bought 4 of those. Excellent batteries.

Why don't you just order a battery from Michael group buy?

How does shipping work with a group buy
Hit up Michael direct through a direct message on here for a quote. Shipping times from China on average are about 60 days from my understanding. The good thing about working with Michael is if there's any issues he'll make sure to make it right. My cells were on a boat that hit a typhoon and ended up in Japan for several months. Michael ended up sending me cells out of his stash so I didn't have to wait forever to get them. He also covered the shipping from Michigan which was I think something like $180 for eight cells. If you want so sooner than waiting for the slow boat I know Michael is also working on selling batteries that are shipped from the USA. I'm not sure if he's doing that just yet. Of course if you're getting something that shipped from United States you're going to pay a premium.

The oldest LiFePo4 bank i know of that is still going with at least 80% capacity was commissioned in 2008. It is a 200ah 48V bank that gets cycled daily.

My personal oldest system was commissioned in 2012, it is a 400ah 48V system. It has averaged over 12kwh/day throughput over this period and is still at least 80% capacity.

I say at least 80% as neither of these systems has seen either voltage knee since SEI formation which is one of the keys to long battery life.

Both of these systems (as are all the ones i help install), live in climate controlled enclosures. Other than a few individual cell failures (both Winston and CALB) none of the systems i have helped install have failed yet.

In this time i have seen many other systems fail, some after only a year in operation.

100Ah cells are about $60 or less each so why is that a scam?
$232 plus a BMS and case is not that much less than a $500 12V 100Ah Ampere Time.

Only time will tell if these cells prove to be as durable as Winston/CALB/Sinopoly/GBS etc that have lasted a decade.

There is currently no reason to suspect that treated well they will be significantly inferior.

What are some of the other failures? Any not related to charging > 3.65v/cell or excessive discharge?

Oh so 100ah LiFePo4 for 200$ is unlikely to be a scam as long as it doesnt include a BMS and case? Thats great thank you so much for the info.

How about this?

I would pass. You get what you pay for. They had to cheap out on almost everything to get it to that price, and FREE Shipping? Hey, if you have the bucks, and want to play Will's role in testing it for us, i would not mind seeing your results. You may have just found the next best thing.

Without including the sales link to that $210 battery I am unable to give an truly informed answer.
$210 shipped for a 12V 100Ah LFP battery is unrealistically low.
$500 shipped for a 12V 100Ah Ampere Time is the lowest i have found for a decent battery with a warranty and support.

Stop looking in the gutter for deals.
There are many Red Flags to a Scam.
The low price is just one of the most obvious.

Im sure its a scam, the same battery is going for >150$ more from this link. Only item with 0 feedback, thats a red flag if i've ever seen one.

If cells are ~200$ for 100ah then I'll just stick with those.
