Battery set up

So I have 12 12v 100amp batteries what's the best way to set this up? As 4 series and three in parrallel for a 48v?

I would do 3 in parallel then 4 in series that way you only have 4 cells to manage instead of all of them. This is batteries in parallel become one.

You have 4 in parallel then connect them as a series or am wrong

Series is positive to negative...

parallel is positive to positive, and negative to negative.
So, my drawing is 3Parallel, 4Series.
