Hello DIYers,

See my new electric bill and usage attached with last 30 days chart of off-grid solar living. Bill is half the price as of last year at same time.

My system consists of:
  1. 10kw Solar Panels
  2. 10kw SPF 5000 ES (2 Inverters in Parallel)
  3. Solar Edge Midpoint Transformer
  4. Growatt Midpoint Transformer
  5. House Load - 120v only right now
  6. Just added these 600ah EG4 Lithium Batteries from Signature Solar and about to start testing the EG4 Inverters too.

If you are "Off-Grid" why do you even have any bills? Might want to read the actual definition of Off-Grid. Many think they are off grid when they are making more solar electric then they are using. Off-grid is not using any utilities......

Not connected to the grid is "off grid".
Sometimes I am off grid and sometimes I am on grid.
Having the grid available, and not using it. Doesn't make you any more on grid than a cabin deep in the woods. It just means that you have more power options, available.

So how do you heat your house?

Might want to state it as"off the electric grid"....

Good for you. Your investment is paying off. ?

It feels good! I still get a buzz seeing my really low grid power usage every month. I started out with 12 panels for a system designed primarily as a system for backup power, but ended up tripling it in chasing my bill to zero.
