Current Setup:
3000W Inverter
12V Controller
2-100W panels
2-100ah 12v Batteries

I connected everything and lights came on. A few minutes later inverter shut down and restarted. 2-3 minutes later it repeated. Continues but at random times. What could be causeing this?

I’m using the space for a craft space and now concerned that my idea of running a small air conditioner to keep the space cool is not going to work out.

Any direction is appreciated. Thank you In advance.

1) Does it ever work correctly before?
2) Make and model of the components you are using?
3) What kind of batteries are you using? Did you charge the batteries to full charge?
4) Turn the power switch in the inverter off then measure the Voltage at the batteries terminals and at the DC input of the inverter.
5) No AC load connected to the inverter then turn on the inverter power switch, what does the inverter do? Does it still restart?

It turns on an then restarts

EPEVER 40A MPPT controller
3000W Inverter

Deep Cycle MightyMax Battery. Yes, battery is fully charged

Voltage is 12V from battery.

I haven't plugged in AC. Was concerned with doing it since it didn't stay on without it.

A battery at 12v rest is discarded completely. 12.6 or 12.8 if flood lead acid battery. If it's 12v the inverter will shut off at 11v usually to protect its self. You didn't mention what inverter you have but it doesn't matter. If you're reading a flat 12v that's dead

So if I understand correctly then the batteries are no good?

The inverter is XWJNE 3000W 12V Pure Sine Inverter.

What charger did you use to charge your batteries?
How did you determine that both batteries are fully charged?

Charge the batteries till they are 14.4v the solar panels will take a long time to charge 200ah . The batteries should not be discharged below 12.2 really. That's about 50% depending on temp and type. If batteries won't hold a charge then you might have a issue but if they are new you probably are fine. Get them fully charged before you do anything else.

Do you have a 'cheap' circuit breaker between the inverter and battery? I had exactly this issue due to voltage drop across the circuit breaker.

I look at the video:
00:00 12.8V
00:02 11.4V
then it goes back up to 12.4V, 12.6V. then when it shuts down it shows 16.4V at 00:09

Wow 16.4
Something is off here ?. This got me to look up wire ampacity charts. Seems no one can agree about amp ratings of wires at 12v dc and similar. Was wondering if op is undersized

Wow that went to 30v then 7 on the display. You are wired 12v in parallel?

Just looking at OPs previous issues with this inverter. Wires seem ok size, but other areas are confused!

And there is definitely at least one cheap breaker installed for something...

In the video it surged to 30 v . The inverter is wrong or something

Can you show us the pictures of your setup so we can see how all components are wired together?
