Its reliable as Sol-Ark because its the same thingAre Deye nice and reliable inverters?

There was a comparison of internals somewhere of Deye 8KW and Sol-Ark 8K. It was the same thingAre they built with the same quality of components?
To be UL listed, SolArk had to have component list reviewed, and periodic audits after that.
An inverter can be built with cheaper components if it doesn't have to be listed.
Looks like Deye 16k single-phase sells for $3,959 (equivalent in South African Rand).
That is a single-phase unit, can't compare directly with split-phase.
The PCB's used are always going to be the same, the question is are the components populating them of the same quality. There was a comparison of internals somewhere of Deye 8KW and Sol-Ark 8K. It was the same thing
I was talking about the components as well tbh. Caps are Nichicon 105c rated on Deye and both Sol-Ark and Deye use the same relays. Pretty sure IGBT's are the same. MCU is same. The PCB's used are always going to be the same, the question is are the components populating them of the same quality.
You can create a BOM and populate the PCB with $500 worth of parts while another company can make that same PCB and use $200 worth of parts. Component prices vary wildly between cheap Chinese components vs Japanese or Taiwanese components.
It all depends on what the buyer is telling the manufacturer to use on their version of the product.
I am not saying this is the case but you cannot tell by just a casual look. You have to know the Brands of all the components and compare them on that level.
If you say so, I have never seen both units striped down and compared side by side.I was talking about the components as well tbh. Caps are Nichicon 105c rated on Deye and both Sol-Ark and Deye use the same relays. Pretty sure IGBT's are the same. MCU is same.
No but someone posted few pictures somewhere in this forum with both taken apart.Do you have a video link of a Sol-Ark 8K being torn down?
they are sol-ark's ( and sunsynks for that matter)Are Deye nice and reliable inverters?
This is an example of the Kind of Photos you need to make a comparison. No but someone posted few pictures somewhere in this forum with both taken apart.
Looks identical to Deye 8kW. Not surprising since Sol-Ark 12k is just a 9kW inverter
Except they cannot be since the 12K has a 3KW built in SCC that combines with the 9KW Inverter.Looks identical to Deye 8kW. Not surprising since Sol-Ark 12k is just a 9kW inverter
I cannot make out anything other than the boards are roughly the same in shape and position.
Of late the part number removing thing is becoming annoyingly common.I just replaced the CPU board. There appears to be a Texas Instruments DSP chip and a smaller processor on the board. With lots of interface chips. All the part numbers have been removed from the chips.
Actually that has been common for some time. My wife had a Chinese friend who was exporting designer bags and clothing from the US to her friends and associates in China. We were talking one time and I realized that most of that stuff was manufactured in China so the obvious question was why the circuitous route, since those customers could presumably buy those goods in China. The answer was what you stated, the Chinese don't trust the Chinese. So much IP theft in China that even the Chinese are scared of the Chinese.
It was common on some high end equipment coming out of China for the last Decade plus, but it has really gotten crazy now.Actually that has been common for some time.
