Hey community.
Rocking a Growatt off grid setup. Love it. Must say. Very cool.

Question though. When raining I charge with a large generator.
I want to charge at a rate as high as possible but I can't find an option for the generator to do only charging and the house run on the battery and solar.
May sound odd, but that would allow me to have the generator pushing 6000w input without an appliance causing it to trip.
I'm having to set the charge limits to 2000W and it's taking 1/3 the time I'd like because if my wife turns on the kettle the generator trips.
Inverters are the SPF 5000 ES

Victron have a load support mode that does exactly what you're after, not sure about growatt

Most AIO's will not have that function.
The only way to charge from the AC input is to also power the loads from it.
Get a chargeverter.
This will give you what you want.

Sol-ark AIO has the ability to limit power from grid or generator. If you don't have a gen limit setting, then you will need something like the chargeverter to directly charge the battery.

Agree with above.
You can't charge and discharge the same battery simultaneously from the same inverter charger.
