Need a power supply that will run my raspberry pi off 48 volt. I bought one off amazon the will not run it. I need a good one.

You will require a 60 Volt stepdown Converter. YES 60V because you can push up to 58.6V (3.650Vpc) at a 48V Battery and you WILL fry any converter that cannot handle it. Most folk will run such a converter to power a small 12VDC mini panel with fuses (Blue Sea has excellent ones) to run low voltage items and from there a 12V to USB-C converter works like a charm. I use a few like the one below for 2 Raspi's and another USB-C powered sensing system.

Hope it helps, Good Luck

I am going to run my pi with a PoE hat (power over Ethernet) and connected to a PoE Network switch that runs off of 48V.

Thus, in my barn, my pi will be powered by the network switch, which is powered by my 48V battery (charged by solar). The switch will also run and power a camera and a point to point wifi radio that gives network connectivity back to the house, and thus VRM capabilities for my victron stuff.

Here is what I have. The hat model may vary based on your pi.

This would ultimately be the best solution

Hi @Duckcm18 are you still using that successfully? A review on Amazon says it died after two months.
I got tired of searching through products with questionable reviews. I ended up with a Victron Orion-Tr 48/12-9 that I found used on ebay for $35 delivered. With a solid 12v, it is easy to find quality power adapters.

This one is working great for me:

I have this need as well. I purchased a 24v version, but find it does not like input voltages above 28v. It shuts down, and then comes back on after the voltage drops on my 24v solar system. This is the current unit, and I really like the form factor as they are surface mount: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BBW37HQ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1. I just need something of a higher quality with a larger voltage input allowance, but still with a regulated output for the USB. An extra PD port is just a bonus but not needed.
