Bulk LF280K

You see this yet?

Yes,
That's a great deal. But also a lot of work.

That is great pricing but wow that is heavy 2.9 times my max lift, plus its stating 1200volts.

I think it looks like fun, personally.

Dangerous fun. But still fun.
I'm in love, as far as dangerous though, they don't look to bad, 8 separate 48s packs wired in series, but if you look at the packs the all have what looks to be an isolation block on the front. (orange square with pink cover)That's usually a pullable fuse that completely isolates the pack. so pull those, then remove the interconnects then pull the 48s packs and separate into 3 16s strings. add a bms and you have a 43kwh 48v pack.

I think it's more like 24 packs in series to make the 1200v. I'd be afraid to open that cabinet.... but im not trained to handle super high voltage DC.

Another problem is that it's huge and probably won't fit indoors so you may end up needing a long (expensive) battery cable run to the inverters. In my case it would need to be ~60ft.

8 trays with interconnects. from the description: "There are 8 trays inside, each with 48 cells"

These are now 89.00 per cell. Tempted to pull the trigger on 16 for another bank. Anyone have any feedback regarding these?

Thanks,

https://diysolarforum.com/threads/anyone-buying-these-305ah-envision-cells.65914/ One person had good luck the other said some were swelled. They will return them shipping will be at your expense within the 30 days.

Bump. Revisiting this. Got super busy after posting back in July. Still have ~280 cells available.

Come on man. Why do I always see these things months after they are sold??

Why didn't your company end up using these?
Switched to a different design. I have never seen any defects or had any of them test below capacity. The cells are still in the crate from 18650.
