Seplos upright case build finished today !

I seen that, nice write up.
Fogstar tells me they wont ship to the states, Seplos doesn't reply to my emails. Docan lists the Seplos as black in color so I don't know about that.
Anybody else reputable to order the Seplos Vertical box from??
Email Henry at seplos directly

I had good experience ordering from Candice at seplos directly. Very responsive over email and WhatsApp before and after the purchase.

Btw, they have made some welcome design improvements, including better supported bottom plate and addition of a compression plate in the middle. The boxes come with 200Amp V3 bms now. Packaging has also seemingly improved.

try candice@seplos.com

she was very helpful i the discussions ive had with her

re the improvements, i actually sent Seplos a copy of my instructions with a few recommendations, looks like they listened to some of them! Candice said she would send them to the relevant 'department' for consideration!

I'm in the process of building mine now, I ordered it without the balancer, It came with a short red jumper wire, do I use that?
I see a b+ terminal on the bms where it goes but I don't see any mention in any youtube videos.
Some sort of directions or diagram would have been nice.

Yes, you’ll need to connect that cable from small B+ terminal on BMS to positive of your 16th cell (pack +ve).

I'm debating whether to buy a couple of the upright units without BMSs to transfer cells from my existing masons to so I can potentially add a third battery. Also they look a lot more professional, and I hope to get my build signed off shortly.

Does anyone know whether I'll have any issues doing this? BMS cable length etc? Is there anything I should be aware of?

Thanks.

When I spoke to Candice she said just connect as you would normally do between the batteries for the +/- connections and daisy chain the BMS connections from one BMS to the other ...... Keeping one battery as the master

Thanks for the reply.

No, I was wondering whether I'd be able to just swap out the BMS' from my existing Masons into the new cases without too much fuss, to save having to fork out £500 a piece. I imagine the main stumbling block will be the connections from the BMS to the +/- out on the case.

I'm on the fence whether to bother or not. It would certainly tidy things up and make my build look more professional. I'm trying to squeeze a second battery/inverter, an EG4 Chargeverter and a consumer unit containing a contactor/smart relay into what was already a very cramped space and it's starting to look a bit hacky/amateurish. (ignore the cerbo, that's only there for testing with the white battery on the right)

as you said, i think the issue will be the connections/cable ribbons as i assume they will be different, BUT they are only cables, so you could make up your own or just ignore the aesthetics and leave well alone, if it aint broke, dont fix it !
