EG4 6500 car charging problems

I am currently running 79.70 with screws removed and bonding in panel.
Is the bonding in the panel from the AC IN side or the AC Out side?
I wasn't aware the inverter would switch modes when the sun went behind a cloud.
The inverter wasn't...well, that was a different issue. I was referring to the UPS powering my computers. There would be some kind of voltage/frequency swing that occasionally cased the UPSs to freak out and switch.

Hmm, yeah that doesn’t make any sense at all. I wonder if the charger is just super sensitive to any voltage/frequency changes like my UPSs.

What has SS said about the issue?

I called them about it some time back and they wanted me to jump through hoops to get started with finding out what the problem was.
I have delt with them on another inverter that just had a simple communication board go bad and almost 6 months later and countless emails and phone calls I got the problem resolved. I don't think I want to go through that again. I will probably just replace them and save 6 months of time and aggravation. I can flip the solar disconnect for now and then all the chargers work great, so I will probably do that until I can replace the units.

Sorry about that. Unfortunately it probably will be faster…

wish we could have figured it out.
Finally got the problem fixed by replacing the inverters with the 6000xp inverters.
One of the 6500ex inverters shorted out and flipped my main breaker and several of my battery breakers.
It damaged 2 of the battery bms boards and signature solar sent me new ones to get them back running again.
I hope they do the right thing and give me store credit for the defective 6500ex inverters.

Glad to hear you're almost squared away. Hope you can get the rest of the things taken care of!
