12v 3000 watt keeps shutting off on big loads

Hi Everyone, I have a 12v 3000 watt inverter and a 100ah battery and a 60amp mppt charge cont. do i need another battery to run loads over 1600watts. mine keeps cutting off at around 1550w even hard wired in

what is the inverter? There are many that claim big numbers but can't deliver.

3000 ac watts / .85 conversion factor / 10 volts low cutoff = 352.941176471 service amps
352.941176471 service amps / .8 fuse headroom = 441.176470588 fault amps

Assuming each of your 100ah batteries can deliver 100 amps continuous you would need 4 of them in parallel to cover that inverter at full bore.
Not all 100ah batteries can deliver 100 amps though so you might need even more.

Please provide a product link to your battery.

Its my policy to design the system for the full continuous rating of the inverter.
I design not for the diyer but for the diyer's teenage son and/or daughter.

Now to directly answer your question
1550 ac watts / .85 conversion factor / 13.6 volts(full charge) = 134.083044983 dc amps.
That is well over spec for a single battery.
