A Friend offered me this "New" Inverter For $800

He runs a warehouse and said this had been sitting brand new in the box for many years and he wanted to know if I would buy it for $800.
I laughed and told him No.

Anybody ever see one of these before. Seems to be Circa 2007 Vintage.

Yes, it's not legal for anything after NEC2005 I believe.

That time frame it was PVPowered, SMA, Fronius, Outback and Xantrex as the common players in the Grid-Tie Market

Unit has little value, maybe a few dollars for the large aluminum heat sink.
 
they are cool, Growatt 6k grid ties are less cost and more efficient tho. I'd hardball at $500 or less

2012-15 timeframe I think, have had them last 7 years so far on a few jobs I used them on

will have AC couple limits as they aren't frequency shifting rule 21 type

some had AFCI
