Thanks to everyone here who patiently answered all of my questions and gave advice.

I have a 2 story, 1000 sq ft home in Baja California Sur, MX, on the East Cape.

My solar setup has been online for 10 days now and is doing well.

I have 6 Hanwha Q-Cell G5 315W 120 cell panels that I picked up in Colorado locally for super cheap. They are setup in 3s2p.
The panels are mounted on the flat roof with EcoFoot2+ ballasted racking.
The strings are connected to an EcoWorthy 4 String Combiner.
I opted for a Growatt SPF 3000TL LVM-48P all-in-one controller that I bought from Watts247.
Storage is with 2 GYLL 48V 100AH LiFePO4 batteries from Signature Solar.

I have not connected the generator to the system yet. When I get to town for a new cord for it and some gasoline, I'll connect it and test it. I'm hoping to seldom need to use it.

The system has enabled me to replace the old and dying propane refrigerator with an electric Samsung 12cu ft digital inverter refrigerator.
I've also been using an induction cooktop instead of the propane stove and have plenty of power for fans and lights, and even can run power tools like a saws-all.

So far, with clear skies and normal use, it is able to run all loads during the day with solar, with occasional boost from the batteries.
The overnight battery draw has been replenished by about 10:30AM each day (in late spring).

I am starting to refurbish the downstairs to use as a seasonal rental and equip it with the same refrigerator and induction stove. I think that I should have a good system for the eventual loads.

I'll post any updates as I have them.
Best, Al

So with that type of racking there is no need to drill into the roof? It all done by weight of the blocks?

Correct. You can use their online sizing tool to get it right for the expected top wind speed.

I bought the system from CED Greentech.
They had all the parts in stock.
If they have an outlet near you, you can get it delivered with no extra charge. If they have to ship it, it isn't too expensive to have shipped.
You need to buy the ballast separately nearest to your install location.

I installed it, and the panels, myself in 1 morning.

Awesome, Im looking to install a DIY system in the future and was looking for a way to mount to my roof. I didn't want to drill/anchor into my sloped shingle roof and wasn't sure if I could utilize my flat roof portion on the back of my house. This looks like it would be perfect solution for me to use on my flat roof. Nice system, thanks for sharing!

Nice system.

I am little north of you in El Jalito. 2 Growatt 3000 LVM, 5KW PV, 32kwh LiFePO4. Installed the system in March; working well so far.
