I'm wondering if can solar trickle charge/maintain a Duralast Gold battery (500 watt continuous/1000 watt peak), clamp on a 500 watt power inverter, and power a 240 watt portable clothes washer (Kuppet brand, 240 watt wash/120 watt spin). This seems too good to be true, so I thought I'd better ask here before I start pretending I know what I'm doing.

The short answer is yes, but you need to calculate the total watt hours of your battery (volts x amp hours), then determine how many watt hours a load of laundry takes (probably need a watt meter to be accurate on that one), and hopefully a load of laundry will use half of your battery's available watt hours or less, to keep the battery in good shape.
