I can't disagree with that. Primarily the preference for welding cable over normal battery cable is the flexibility, which means lots of fine strands rather than fewer heavier strands (insulation also plays a factor in flexibility). All are made in USA, which is a primary factor to consider, I simply don't trust Chinese cable.
I have used quite a bit of the "Ancor Marine Grade Primary Wire and Battery Cable" in 10 gauge, but it is decidedly not as flexible. Ancor makes great products, I have used a lot of their lugs since you can be sure of their quality.
