Hi all,

Im new to the DIY battery side of things and have built a 320ah battery using 16x3.2v grade A cells. I have added a JK-B2A24S20P BMS with RS485 converter which after some research seemed to be the best option as it has a 2a active balancer and has both CAN and RS485 inputs.
I already have a 4.74kw PV going to a X1 Solax 7.5kw G4 inverter.

From what I can tell the inverter uses Modbus RTU and the JK BMS CAN2.0A
I was naive and didn't check this first. is it as simple as buying a converter and plugging it in to allow the battery to speak to the inverter and vice versa?

Thanks In advance!

According to the Datasheet for the X1 Solax 7.5 G4 the lowest battery voltage it can handle is 80V. But it also says it does Canbus so there must be a Canbus port and a spec for Canbus.

Canbus port reference is on page 10 or 17

So do your JK BMS talk Solax or can your Solax talk JK BMS or one of its settings.

But you need to sort the battery voltage first.

@kommando Did you had any progress with this challenge?
Problem was not mine, I was suggesting solutions or where to look for one.

For the JK PB BMS the following Canbus and RS485 protocols are listed, I would take it with caution as it shows Victron Canbus as 500K and its actually 250K.
