Configuring Victron Multiplus with MK3-USB

I can't get my Multiplus to be recognized in VEConfigure. I've got an MK3-USB, dowloaded the drivers, restarted the computer, reinstalled VEconfigure. My USB drivers are working OK, computer is fine, but for whatever reason I can't get my Multiplus recognized on VEConfigure3. It also won't show up on VictronConnect.

My CerboGX and Touch50 recognize the Multiplus just fine. What else can I do to adjust the parameters of my Multiplus?

Start with the obvious. Is the MK3 connected to the Multiplus with a proper UTP cable? Try disconnecting from the CerboGX/Touch50 while using the MK3 to connect to the computer.

what is a utp cable?

Unshielded Twisted Pairs. Your basic network cable. I've had success with cables such as:

Pick a color and length.

What a nightmare, so was it just a faulty cable? That thread doesn't really conclude.

Honestly I don't remember. I don't think it was the cable though.

So the cable worked for the cerbo but didn’t work for the Mk3, or at least you swapped cables and it worked?
