I have a similar issue. I want to provide a 12V DC light on my 48V battery system, so I do not have to run my inverter just for a light.
I can find various 12V, primarily landscape lights that meet my need. Said lights are UL 2108 when used with a paired class 2 AC->DC power supply.
But that is not what I want to do, as I want DC only.
I found this:
Mean Well power supplies in stock & ready to ship. We reduce Mean Well power supply supply chain disruptions and provide reliable and responsive service. TRC’s power specialist team maintains the highest qualifications of MEAN WELL product knowledge.
www.trcelectronics.com
DDR-120C-12 in this case.
This gives me what I want, but it is not a class 2 power supply, as it is 120W, max 100 for class 2. But it is UL 62368 as a standalone voltage reducing power supply. (UR).
So, do I just use this, using chapter 3 wiring methods (wire in conduit, etc) a DC fuse, and call it a day?
I want to remain in NEC 2020.
