Just trying to find out if this is a normal thing. I have an Ecoflow D2 that allows 500w/60v max solar and has a 15a limit on the MPPT.
I have three 195w Ecoworthy bifacial panels in parallel because series would be to much voltage.
On a bright clear sunny day, panels at the correct angle to the sun I'm only showing 272w on the D2 display (dirty screen LOL). When I use my clamp on amp meter it is showing 14.67a coming in, close to the limit.
Is this normal solar wattage with the solar limiting on the Delta2?

(PS,I have a small heater plugged in as a test load showing 1159w.)

19.8Vmp * 14.67A = 290W

You're about 6% below that. If your panels are warm to the touch, your Vmp will be below 19.8V.

272W sounds about right.

You have 9.85A * 3 = 29.55A max into the MPPT.

The most it will ever pull is 15A, so

15A/29.55 = 50.8%

Thus you can never expect more than:

195W*3*.508 = 297W in STC conditions.

I have intermittent shading across the panels during the day so series wouldn't be a good option. ✌️
May be worth buying one more panel. I have two 200w of similar spec in series and get 350w, I need to install two more for 2s2p which should give the full 500ww and combined 55v VoC. But it never gets below 72F at night so no worries.

My Delta 1300 was pulling in 360 watts from two 200 watt panels in series the other day. But it will slow charging down if the batteries start getting warm. I didn't have a load on mine at the time and my batteries were below 50% It also slows down near 100% to protect the batteries.
