Well I went and did it, I showed off my little milk crate system to my brother in law and he said "Oh that's cool, now you can build a system for my new trailer I'm having built." What he is having built is a 24 foot trailer with a 8.5'x12' enclosure on it. What he wants is indoor/outdoor lighting, a small water pump for a small sink, some charging ports and AC for a 5000 BTU air conditioner, and small TV.
He also has a generator so a way to charge the batteries when on generator would also be needed.
As for panels, I may get some of the used 250W & 370W panels Will has on his site if I can arrange them correctly on the roof with its air vent. I'd like to get at least 850 watts up on the roof if possible.
I hadn't planned on building any batteries until I got my own camper so I need to do a crash course on them and find a good supplier with decent shipping.
If anyone has built any system like this I would love links to your build.
The trailer will look something like this.
