I’ve got 4 lifeline agm batteries in my Rv Right now. GPL-6ct 300ah. I’ve got them in a 2s2p set up So I supposedly have 600 amp hours at 12 V. I got them about seven years ago and they worked good for a while. I’ve got some pretty dated equipment, it’s a 2007 toy hauler but I have a true charge bulk charger which supposedly charges them fast and then slowly tops them off and keeps a trickle on them, I’m not sure how well it works. I’m really not sure of the true charge or the converter in the trailer charges them but they currently have about five amp hours each, in other words they really suck and they don’t last long at all now,

I’ve been reading on how to equalize them which is what they’re designed to have done to them but it sounds like a crazy complicated task that i’ve been reading on how to equalize them which is what they’re designed to have done to them but it sounds like a crazy complicated task that requires some special super high charging machine which I don’t have

I noticed some other people were talking about their Trojans or other wet cell batteries and equalizing them, has anybody had experience equalizing lifeline batteries with somewhat normal equipment,?

I was currently looking at the 300 amp hour amperetime Times two to replace my lifelines with, since they seem to be the only battery available, now the problem is is that I do sometimes camp in fairly cold weather and they don’t have that low temp charging protection built-in.
Any tips on equalizing

You need a charger that has an equalization mode.

Personally, an AGM battery that has given you 7 years of service owes you nothing. Time for some new batteries.

I had read that The batteries have been designed to be equalized and that they could possibly restore them to most of their former strength, where do you find these chargers that have an equalization mode

TC2 owners manual page 37

Basically switch to flooded and hit equalize. Will run for one hour. I would do this daily for a week and see if there is improvement.
I don’t think I have a TC 2, I think I may be have the original version, it’s yellow, doesn’t look as high-tech, I’m actually not home right now but I will be in a couple days and I will look more closely at it. But thanks I appreciate it

I had a Lifeline 4D in my boat and also got 7 years out of it and then it fell on its face. On the last cruise with it, the battery monitor showed that I had pulled only 70Ah of the rated 210Ah out and the voltage was at 10.2v. I replaced it with a DIY 2p4S LFP bank with 560Ah that fit perfectly into the same space as the 4D. If you are not interested in the DIY approach, I installed a couple of these 460Ah LFP drop-ins that are in an 8D size and were a perfect fit to replace my 3p2s (6) golf cart FLA's. at $1200 delivered for 460Ah it is hard to beat.
