You will need to use "Lead Acid" like you mentioned because the inverter won't allow the use of Lithium without BMS communication.
thanks for the input, i changed up the settings a bit, trial and error to learnYou will need to use "Lead Acid" like you mentioned because the inverter won't allow the use of Lithium without BMS communication.
yes, they are not new, bms doesn't work so i'm just running the raw cells. i'm looking recommendations for charging settings, thanks
Since the charging voltage is so much higher then other batteries, are these 17 cells in series by any chance?yes, they are not new, bms doesn't work so i'm just running the raw cells. i'm looking recommendations for charging settings, thanks

If so, I would disconnect 1 so you you would get 52.1 nominal voltage, and put an BMS on that is capable of talking to the MR (eg seplos with BT)
Using voltage (aka lead acid settings) to indicate SoC on a Li-ion is really a bad idea (IMO)
Some of the others here may have a better updated answer but from what I have heard is that load 2 settings are not implemented yet on the firmware. It would be called smart load I believe when it is available.Good day. I am in the process of commissioning a BSE8KLNA (the BlueSun branded version of the Megarevo R8KLNA) and am trying to figure out how to set up using the Load2 output under the BackUp setup. originally, i had intended to hook up all loads onto the Load1 output and leave Load2 unused -as all of the loads are within the capacity of the inverter-, but I would like to have the alternative to hook up the non-critical loads (such as AC and water pump) to the LOAD2 output and control its use depending on the battery load. The user manual refers that the Load2 port can be set to power down when the battery charge is not sufficient, but it makes no reference on how to achieve this or set the desired disconnect charge.
Any light in this respect is greatly appreciated. If this question has been addressed elsewhere, please excuse my asking and refer me to the corresponding discussion, but I have not been able to find an answer.
I am seeing this. I have an R61LK invertor with 5.5kw PV and 12 AGM lead acid batteries (250AH). A couple of days ago Megarevo upgraded online my original firmware from 0.0.16 (yep!) to 1.1.43 and a bunch of problems happened. I use Peak Shift anti-reverse and protected loads on a separate CU which worked great for a while. After upgrade I got Grid High Voltage Alerts (though grid was 251V although multimeter said 244V so wouldn't charge batteries. They ran down and the whole thing stopped. After a "Factory Reset" it saw a 230V grid voltage and charged the batteries overnight (on Octopus 12p/kWh tariff)....but on completion of charging it then dumped the batteries back to the grid at 5kW!...leaving my battery enpty again! Have asked to revert firmware. Is anyone else seeing this?
I put my MR on "self consume"
Today my battery charged up a lot (not to full) and when sun set, it started using the battery again until it hit the low limit setting.
When I look at the meter to the grid I see this (when it is dark outside, so no PV support)
View attachment 127434
It is pushing 700+ watt into the grid.
That is not what I would assume a setting with "self consume"
Is anyone else seeing this kind of behavior as well ?
Do you have a link to your inverter ?I am seeing this. I have an R61LK invertor with 5.5kw PV and 12 AGM lead acid batteries (250AH). I was also told on the new release that "Spontaneous Self Consumption" was now allowed when I questioned why it had fed to grid at all if Anti-Reverse was enabled.....and was told this was a more "dynamic" thing now and it can do it anyway. What woudl you like to see?Do you have a link to your inverter ?
I assume the british version is a little bit different from the split phase unit used i North America.

I had searched for the model number you mentioned " R61LK" but in the overview I see R6KL1.
This may not be the case anymore but when I bought mine a year ago GSL mentioned the inverter was not designed to run off grid without batteries. I know you are still connected to the grid but it may have something to do with how they have the code written.Hey guys,
I figured out how to use this thing with being grid tied with no batteries. Self consume mode doesn't work properly. If you want to do zero export but have it set to self consume, it doesn't work in any way. I had to change mine to battery priority even though I don't have any batteries to get zero export to actually work. If you try to use zero export + self consume with anti-reverse enabled, it will just say PV input is 0.
CTs have to be facing away from your breaker panel towards the grid. The grid reading in the inverter has to be negative so move your CT ethernet plugs around until you see at least one of the grid input on the screen being negative. You plug from the grid with a 40amp breaker into the grid input port. Since it's bi-directional, it will offset your load in your main panel. I tested this by running my heat pump and solar PV input increased when I was testing heavier loads. Using battery priority with no batteries doesn't really have any negative effects as far as I know at this point. I'm glad I got this stupid thing at least working for now.
Still not an acceptable fix. They need to get their firmware straightened out.
That's weird, because that's pretty much a main function that hybrid inverters provide lol. That would be crazy. Called Signature Solar/EG4 and they confirmed it's supposed to work just grid tied too. They're looking into this issue as I called them and reported so I guess we'll see what happens. This may not be the case anymore but when I bought mine a year ago GSL mentioned the inverter was not designed to run off grid without batteries.
